Published Audit Reports
As a Performance Analyst at the Office of Inspector General for the City of Chicago, I have performed audits of City operations. This has included the evaluation of many facets of the City's policies and making recommendations to improve those policies. Every audit required qualitative and quantitative data analysis, extensive project management, attention to detail, and rounds of peer review and presentation to ensure accuracy and quality. Each audit is aimed at improving government for the public. Below are some of the projects I have worked on, with links to the published reports where applicable:
Audits
Policy and Evaluations
I worked as a specialized policy intern at Chicago's Office of Budget and Management where I came up with creative solutions to fiscal policy issues. For example, I developed an indirect cost calculator that examined the budgets and expenditures of City grant programs to identify where underutilized funds could be better allocated. I identified ways to visualize and communicate overtime usage in other City departments to empower leadership to analyze their own overtime trends.
While working as a Data Specialist for ACCESS Community Health Network, I performed program evaluations that led to better administration of healthcare programs and better outcomes for patients and community members.
